Hurricane Dorian devastated the Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama, leaving many with loss of home, family and basic needs. Cushman & Wakefield partnered with the American Red Cross to successfully raise monetary donations nationwide.
In addition, our South Florida offices, being closest to the impacted areas, quickly jumped into action to help our neighbors to the east. Over the course of a few days, our team collected much needed supplies including water, baby items, canned goods, tents, cots, dry foods, pet supplies, utility items and more.
Our Brokerage, Asset Services, Project Management and Valuation service lines joined forces and called upon our employees and clients to pitch in.
To deliver the donations to the Bahamas, Cushman & Wakefield partnered with Jet Blue affiliate World Jet at the Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport. The team dropped off one cargo van and one truckload full of items. It was incredible to see the donations stacked up and ready to go directly to the Bahamas.
