What screams HOLIDAYS more than rainbows of twinkling, blinking, captivating lights? Where there are vibrant light displays, there’s spirit, cheer, and even a Santa Claus sighting if you’re lucky. With the holiday season in full swing, here are a few of the best spots to make sure the season is merry and bright.
This tradition that started in 1965 as the “Yule Fest” has grown to be the largest holiday tradition in Austin! The history speaks for itself–it’s a must-see light show! If you can stop spinning under the giant tree, make sure to stop by Zilker Stage to catch a live band. You’ll surely have your fill of cheer to last you the whole season!
Mozart’s Christmas Light Show
Now – January 2
One of Austin’s beloved coffee shops goes all out when it comes to the holidays. Come enjoy the deck emblazoned in 1 million LED lights. They even have a show that coordinates your favorite Christmas carols to the blinking lights. This year they’re introducing a Bavarian tent to provide unique goodies to the parking lot crowds, as well as a line-up of professional Austin pianists to tinker the keys of a festive grand piano. Cozy up with your favorite people, steaming coffee, and decadent desserts as you soak in the lights and sounds by the water front!
Winter Wonderland at Circuit of the Americas

Back for its second year! One of America’s favorite race tracks has transformed into a winding road of holiday entertainment. This year gaze in wonder at the Chinese Lantern Festival as you go through lively light displays and interactive entertainment. The event is complimented by a tunnel of lights, Texas’s largest outdoor ice-skating rink, carnival, singing trees, and even a petting zoo.
