Atlanta’s office market has been consistently heating up during the past several years, and now competition among submarkets is tight. We pitted eight submarkets against each other based on 2016 data to see which submarket would reign supreme.
In the first round, we looked at absorption in 2016. Northwest dominated Downtown with 609,332 square feet absorbed versus 31,439 square feet absorbed. Other winners included Buckhead (-10,835 square feet), Midtown (683,241 square feet) and Georgia 400 (42,334 square feet).
For the second round, we compared the number of square feet under construction. Midtown and Northwest both dominated against the competition, with more than 1 million square feet under construction in each submarket.
Stay tuned next week to see who the champ will be!
