Cushman & Wakefield offices throughout Florida helped spread a little holiday joy by holding toy drives for deserving children in our communities. This year, the annual C&W Florida gift-giving event was also part of Cushman & Wakefield’s company-wide Week of Giving. This new tradition-in-the-making reflects our firm’s commitment to giving our best every day, whether to our clients or our communities.
The Tampa Chapter of Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders (CWFL) held a toy donation drive for the children of the Rosa Valdez Early Learning Center, which predominantly serves children living below the poverty line. All Tampa employees were invited to take an “angel tag” off of the Giving Tree in the Tampa office, and members of CWFL wrapped all the gifts during a holiday breakfast and wrapping party before delivering them to the school.
Teams in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach collected toys for Toys for Tots. The organization works with the United States Marine Corps Reserve to distribute toys to social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies that benefit children and families in need. This year’s donation drive was organized by the South Florida Events Committee in conjunction with the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Boca/West Palm chapters of CWFL. Overall, the South Florida offices collected more than 200 toys!
Orlando and Jacksonville
The Orlando and Jacksonville offices also held a toy drive for Toys for Tots this year. From board games, to baby dolls, to bicycles, the teams collected dozens of toys to help give local children a Christmas to remember.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to these toy drives throughout the state! Together, our Florida offices collected hundreds of toys that will make a huge difference in the lives of children in our communities.
