Three of Cushman & Wakefield’s women professionals were recognized as “Bay Area Power Women 2018” by trade media outlet, Bisnow, at a sold out breakfast awards ceremony last week in the Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel, 950 Mason Street, in San Francisco.
Managing Director of Workplace Strategy, Antonia Cardone, Executive Director, Jennifer Essner, and Senior Managing Director, Xinyi McKinny, were honored as top-level executives and industry leaders who shape commercial real estate.
Executive Vice President, Global Real Estate, Elizabeth Pinkham, from Salesforce gave the keynote address. The event format included a presentation on how women working in the sector impact the Bay Area skyline; a diversity roundtable, and the chance for Honoree recognition and business networking.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized two consecutive years running,” Ms. Cardone said.
“I am passionate about what I do, and the fact this has been carried through to industry peer recognition is wonderful,” Ms. Essner said.
“Receiving this honor has been a highlight of my professional year,” Ms. McKinny added.
Bisnow points to studies that show women make up a fraction of C-suite positions in the commercial real estate industry, but says its 2018 Honorees are working to change that. They are not only breaking the glass ceiling, but also offering the support needed to bring more women into the industry and help them succeed.

The Wednesday May 30, 2018 event was bisnow’s highest attended program in several years.
