25th Annual ACRE Broker of the Year Awards
On March 16, 2017, members of the local real estate community gathered for the 25th annual Broker of the Year awards presented by the Association of Commercial Real Estate. Held at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, the event recognized the region’s top commercial real estate brokers. The awards gala also featured a charitable component, raising money for Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada.
The Association of Commercial Real Estate’s Charity Benefit/Broker of the Year Awards originated in 1992. These distinguished awards are presented to exceptional brokers who have achieved outstanding brokerage results in eight categories: Industrial, Office, Retail, Investments (non-Apartment), Land, Multi-Family, Rookie of the Year, Broker of the Year and Broker’s Choice.
In addition to recognizing industry high achievers, the Charity Benefit Broker of the Year Awards has given many millions to local charities.
Cushman & Wakefield Sacramento brokers Michael Yuras (Broker of the Year: Investments) and Blair Wheatley (Broker’s Choice Award) were among the finalists in 2017. Congratulations on your achievement!

Award given to the most productive investment broker of the year
Michael specializes in advising developers, private equity firms, and REITs in the disposition of single and multi-tenant leased properties nationwide, with a focus on retail investments. In 2016, Michael and his four partners closed 96 transactions totaling $417,000,000 in consideration in 24 states. He is annually recognized as a top producer and is dedicated to achieving market-setting pricing in a timely manner on behalf of his clients. Michael is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in architectural engineering.

Award chosen by other brokers to honor someone in their industry for overall reputation and performance
Blair has over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate and joined Cushman & Wakefield in August 2008. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Blair was with GT Retail Services/Colliers International. He has extensive knowledge and experience within the CRE niche, including retail leasing, lease negotiation, lease renewals, lease extensions and assignments of leases for shopping center portfolios. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Ca. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Chainlinks Retail Advisors. Among his distinctions and awards are CoStar Power Broker of the Year Award: 2007 – 2014 and Association of Commercial Real Estate Brokers’ Choice Award: 2009, 2013 and 2017.
