New Website Created for Collaborative, Open Aired Campus
The Cannery, Sacramento’s only urban office and technology campus is seeking qualified tenants interested in something really different in a city booming with downtown activity and construction projects.
Cushman & Wakefield Sacramento is spearheading the leasing efforts for the 275,363 square foot property, situated in Midtown Sacramento’s arts and cultural epicenter.
Housed in an historic former canning plant, a new website highlighting campus amenities and available spaces was recently launched for the unique campus, which is located at 1651 Alhambra Boulevard.
The modern office spaces in The Cannery feature collaborative, open floor plates, ideally suited for today’s forward thinking companies who are looking for a work place environment that inspires creativity, new ideas and the spirit of entrepreneurship.
According to lead broker, Cushman & Wakefield’s Managing Principal Ron Thomas, “It’s cool, it’s hip, it’s very modern. We are ideally seeking tech companies, creatives and lean and mean startups who are hungry for innovation. There is no other location in Sacramento that offers high tech must-haves in a dynamic city environment like this. You’ll also find the rates for leasing a space very competitive. ”
Current Cannery Tenants
With a plethora of convenient attributes, the campus has already attracted a number of tenants including The Urban Hive, Support Pay, Sequoia Surgical, UCD Telemedicine and NORR Architects.
The ideal Midtown location offers easy access to public transportation, including Light Rail and bus transit. It’s a mere one block walk to the R Street light rail stop and only a few blocks to the Golden 1 Center, the ultra – modern home of the NBA Sacramento Kings.
The area also features Second Saturday Art Walks, some of the
country’s best farmers markets and a variety of local parks and historical monuments. Nearby dining is also within close proximity, with some of Sacramento’s most acclaimed restaurants, including Kru Contemporary Japanese and Hawks Public within walking distance. At 2.9 spaces per 1,000 square feet, The Cannery’s parking availability is unmatched in the central city.
The campus offers covered, underground and structured parking options for convenience and safety.
Bike Share Program
Beginning in 2018, The Cannery will host one of Sacramento’s first bike sharing stations. Bike share is a membership program where anyone can pick up a bike from The Cannery and return it to one of 88 other stations in Sacramento, West Sacramento and Davis.
“The Cannery’s industrial roots mean you get the benefit of open and airy office space with the coveted rustic details many of today’s top office space designers strive to recreate. What also makes this project so attractive is that all of Midtown Sacramento’s best restaurants, bars and entertainment destinations can be reached by a quick walk or an Uber or Lyft ride,” said Kevin Goldthwaite, a Senior Associate with Cushman & Wakefield Sacramento.
The Cushman & Wakefield leasing team is comprised of Ron Thomas, Executive Managing Director, Mark Tabak, Director and Kevin Goldthwaite, Senior Associate.
