Tom Atkinson, Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Phoenix industrial group, is retiring after 21 years with the company. He originally joined Grubb & Ellis in 1996, before the company went through a series of mergers resulting in Cushman & Wakefield as we know it today. To celebrate his many years of dedication, we have asked his colleagues to provide some sentiments and well wishes. We wish him the best in his future endeavors and new opportunities, which we know he will embrace wholeheartedly just as he did at Cushman & Wakefield. Cheers to a fun and fruitful retirement Tom!
“On behalf of the entire C&W Phoenix family, I would like to congratulate you on your retirement. I can easily speak for all of us in saying that we have enjoyed working with you and appreciate your friendship, professionalism and loyalty to our firm over the past 21 years. While you will be missed greatly by all of us at Cushman & Wakefield, your retirement is certainly well deserved. It has been a pleasure working with you and I am confident that you will find the same success and happiness in retirement that you experience during your time here.” – Bryon Carney, Market Leader
“TA has been a good friend and partner on dozens of transactions since we met in 2007. Tom was a former CPA and possesses a unique skill set that was invaluable when completing lease and sales transactions. I will greatly miss our daily interactions in the office but I know our friendship will remain strong, even though I will not see him every day. I wish him many happy years while he enjoys his much deserved retirement.
Fun Fact: TA has been a season ticket holder of UofA basketball since 1984. He bought season tickets, with a buddy, the day that Arizona announced that Lute Olson was going to be hired as the head basketball coach.” – John Pompay, Director
