Phoenix WIN Makes 36,936 Meals for Feed My Starving Children

The Phoenix Women’s Integrated Network (WIN) chapter recently volunteered for Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.

The 22 WIN volunteers hand-packed nutritious MannaPack™ meals, specifically designed to reverse malnutrition. The group was broken up into two teams of 11, and joined an assembly line to hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags. The bags were then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to children in need around the world.

The team’s goal was to pack as many boxes as they could in two hours. After a fun two hours of work, the Phoenix WIN volunteers helped pack 171 boxes. This is 36,936 meals and will feed 101 kids in the Philippines for a year! Way to go ladies!

Feed My Starving Children meals are produced by volunteers in Minnesota, Illinois, Arizona and all over the United States, through MobilePack event.
