Orlando Business Journal has recognized Executive Director Michael Lerner as “Deal Maker of the Year” as part of its 2018 Structures Awards. These awards honor Central Florida’s most impactful and innovative real estate projects and the people behind them.

Michael Lerner had just had a big hand in a record-breaking $136 million deal in May 2017, representing DRA Advisors LLC in the sale of the four-building, Class A Colonial Center at TownPark office portfolio in Lake Mary.
But rather than rest on his laurels, the 50-year-old executive director of the capital markets group at Cushman & Wakefield in Orlando decided to do it again. Less than a month later, he and his colleagues — Cushman & Wakefield’s Mike Davis and Rick Brugge in Tampa Bay — sold another DRA Advisors-owned property: the nearby Heathrow International Business Center.
That $151.1 million sale in June 2017, which ended up being $189.84 per square foot, notched the largest brokered suburban office transaction in Orlando’s history — and was a highlight in Lerner’s 25-year real estate career…
