8200 Tower at Normandale Lake Office Park, leased and managed by Cushman & Wakefield, was selected as the winner of the Northern Region TOBY Award for the category of 250,000 square feet to 499,999 square feet. The building previously won the award at the local level before advancing to the regional competition.
8200 Tower is an 11-story, 247,335-square-foot office tower just south of the Interstate 494-Highway 100 interchange in Bloomington, Minnesota. The building features a glass and polished concrete exterior, a two-story atrium and six-level attached parking structure. Amenities include an on-site restaurant, and easy access to restaurants, conference centers, fitness & wellness facilities and bike storage within the Normandale Lake Office Park.
The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY®) Awards is run by the Building Owners and Managers Association. The awards recognize quality in commercial buildings and reward excellence in building management. During the competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement, tenant relations and site management to environmental and “green” policies and procedures. The building will now advance to the international level at the BOMA International Conference in June.
