Cushman & Wakefield’s Chicago Office Celebrates Annual Week of Giving

By: Vicki Noonan, Chicago Managing Principal

During the holiday season, Cushman & Wakefield’s Chicago office participated in the annual Week of Giving where more than 250 employees came together for a week full of engaging service and donation opportunities to give back to the communities in which we live and work. This year, the office supported a variety of charities throughout the Chicago area. The week kicked off with a winter clothing drive which collected over 100 items at our donation stations.

On Tuesday, December 10 more than 60 Chicago employees volunteered their morning at the Greater Chicago Food Depository to pack over 32,000 pounds of food that amounted to 27,000 meals to directly impact ending hunger.

One of our Employee Resource Groups, Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders (CWFL), continued the giving spirit on Wednesday, December 11 by volunteering at Ronald McDonald House to provide lunch for families while their child was being treated at a nearby hospital. Employees also volunteered at Feed My Starving Children to help feed 146 children for a year by packing over 53,000 meals.

The week ended with a donation lunch that raised over $3,000 benefiting both Cradles to Crayons and Breakthrough, along with a Folds of Honor football watch party to celebrate our Veterans Initiative Program at the longstanding rivalry game between Army and Navy.

Our annual Week of Giving is one of the many ways our employees exemplify our culture of service and our firm’s commitment to giving our best every day, whether to our clients or our communities.
