uptown charlotteCushman & Wakefield’s Charlotte office has been named a “Best Place to Work” by the Charlotte Business Journal. The annual awards program recognizes companies with benefits, policies and practices in place that are among Charlotte’s best, based on employee surveys, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. The awards seek out local companies providing employees with a great atmosphere that spurs engagement. Cushman & Wakefield is one of 30 to be honored in the “Large” category, featuring companies with between 50 and 249 employees.

“We are honored to be recognized a ‘Best Place to Work,’ as we have focused on creating a collaborative, engaging and empowering culture,” said Brett Gray, Managing Principal. “This award signifies we are creating the kind of environment that makes people excited to come to work, and at the end of the day that’s what is most important.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Charlotte office has grown to employ more than 100 team members in Uptown, SouthPark, and surrounding regions. Providing expertise in all of the company’s vertically integrated services, the team represents both occupiers and investors, and brokers transactions across the Carolinas – from the greater Charlotte area, to the Triad (Winston-Salem/Greensboro), to Asheville in North Carolina; and the rapidly expanding South Carolina suburbs of Charlotte.

“Let’s face it, it’s hard work syncing bottom line company goals with what your employees care about most to create a strong emotional connection to your business – and that emotional connection is the secret sauce that drives the impressive engagement scores of these qualifying companies,” said Kevin Pitts, CBJ president and publisher.
