Deliveries of new commercial buildings and the resulting increase in vacancy rates promote sales of small and medium-sized corporate offices of higher construction quality. This typology has been proving to be a good business opportunity. “Cushman & Wakefield has been received demands from both owners interested to sell and tenants in search of their own space, mainly in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro”, says André Germanos, head of Capital Markets.
“Prices are quite competitive and there are good business opportunities”, says Thierry Botto, head of Corporate Leasing for Rio de Janeiro. According to him, the greatest demand is for areas between 5,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft. “This is a favorable period for occupants of Class B buildings, for instance, to acquire their own property, of higher quality and reasonably priced”, concludes Botto.
