Cushman & Wakefield Austin was proud to make $15,000 in donations to two non-profits selected by our long-time client, Surveying And Mapping (SAM). The funds were made available to SAM in recognition of a recent commercial real estate transaction where Greg Johnston, managing director, Cushman & Wakefield, helped the firm secure 57,000 SF of office space in SW Austin. The two non-profits include:
LifeWorks is a fearless advocate for youth and families seeking their path to self-sufficiency. They are committed to innovative problem solving, shared accountability and a relentless focus on achieving real, sustainable and measurable results for the clients they serve. LifeWorks programs and services include: counseling, housing and education/workforce training for at-risk youth and young adults. The $5,000 will go towards making these life-changing programs possible. Volunteer opportunities are available working with youth, in the office, or conducting community outreach.
Communities In Schools–$10,000
Children cannot learn at their potential when they are in crisis or face significant non-academic needs. Communities In Schools of Central Texas provides support by bringing resources and relationships to school campuses — surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. The Austin chapter is part of the nation’s largest and most effective dropout prevention organization. For 40 years, Communities In Schools has been helping students achieve in school, graduate and go on to bright futures. Volunteer opportunities include several types of tutoring and mentorship programs.
