You don’t have to go far in Austin to find a great party to ring in 2017. Here are just 10 of the many events welcoming in the New Year:

Where: Vic Mathias Shores, AKA Auditorium Shores: 950 West Riverside Dr.
Why: The Lake Stage will showcase: Shinyribs, an American country-soul; swamp funk band, singer-songwriter Ray Wyllie Hubbard; and the young talented blues men, The Peterson Brothers.
Get ready to jump up and down with a CAPYAC dance party headlining at the Oak stage; Harvest Thieves bringing Americana and Folk-Rock; and Roxy Roca, an Austin-based, six-piece, southern soul band driven by a horn section and powerful vocals.
Capping off the festive evening, the traditional fireworks finale will start at 10 p.m. The Community New Year’s Eve event hosted by the City of Austin kicks of a 3 p.m. Dec. 31 at Vic Mathias Shores.
Noon Year’s Eve Party w/ Joe McDermott

Where: Lake Travis Community Library, 1938 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway
Why: Can’t stay awake for the midnight hour? Then join us on Saturday, December 31st to celebrate the New Year at noon! We’ll make hats and noise makers starting at 11am, children’s musician Joe McDermott will perform at 11:30am, then we’ll snack on goodies and toast to the 12 o’clock hour! Happy Noon Year!

Why: Join us for a special Storytime and Party, where we will count down to noon in celebration of the New Year!
Kids’ New Year’s Eve – Eve Party

Why: Children up to age 12 are invited to celebrate the New Year with fun, dancing, and a countdown to 12:00 (noon)! Kid friendly and FREE
Noon Year’s Eve @ Austin’s Park and Pizza
Cost: $19.95 for UNLIMITED attractions, and a $5 Fun Card
When: 12/ 31 @ 2 Noon – 6 PM, balloon drop @2 PM and 6 PM
Where: Austin’s Park and Pizza, 16231 IH-35, Pflugerville
Why: Austin’s Park N Pizza is throwing a kids’ Noon Year’s Eve extravaganza! The festivities will include face painting, prize-filled balloon drops, NYE activities, and plenty of sparkling, kid-friendly refreshments. Plus, they have a NYE Weekend Combo Special on December 31st and January 1st. Bring your kids for an afternoon of revelry before your evening festivities begin. 2017 is on the way, so celebrate, bowl, race, and play!

Willie Nelson & Family New Year

Why: Austin’s hometown musician, WILLIE NELSON, returns to Austin City Limits Live to ring in the New Year in style with three nights featuring special guest RYAN BINGHAM.
