WeWork has opened its second Atlanta location at Colony Square, located in the heart of Midtown at the corner of 14th and Peachtree streets. Last week, WeWork held a ribbon cutting ceremony in which Mayor Kasim Reed officially opened the space. Andy Sumlin, Sonia Winfield and Laura Power of Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta office lead the leasing efforts at Colony Square on behalf of owner North American Properties.
WeWork’s three-floor, 41,231-square-foot space can accommodate up to 900 people, with private offices and room for up to 40 employees. Additionally, WeWork features comfortable nooks, conference rooms, and quiet phone booths, as well as community bars, pantries and complimentary water and fruit. Pricing begins at $250 per month for a Hot Desk (unlimited access to any available workspace). Worldwide, WeWork boasts 120,000 members in more than 155 locations in 15 countries.
Colony Square is undergoing a massive renovation with the help of a highly regarded team, including urban planner Jeff Speck and architecture firms Beyer Blinder Belle and Lord Aeck Sargent. The first phase, an overhaul of the property’s retail space, is slated for completion in July 2018 in time to celebrate the development’s 50th anniversary since its original groundbreaking, and could grow its existing 163,000 square feet of retail space.
