In a special “Talking with Talent” in honor of International Women’s Day, we wanted to feature another amazing woman from Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta office. In today’s blog, we spoke with Whitney Hembree, a Senior Brokerage Coordinator in our Office Tenant Representation Group.
Number of Years at Cushman & Wakefield: 3 ½ years
I am a member of an Office Tenant Representation team in Atlanta, with a focus on supporting our clients through the deal transaction process. In many ways, I’m the COO of the team, managing workflow, client deliverables and financial projections to ensure that we deliver at the highest quality for our clients. In 2017, I am taking even more of a transactional role on the team, building on my past three years of experience, to further enhance the value and focus I bring to each of our team’s assignments.
My team, along with Ken Ashley, Sam Hollis and William Linginfelter, was featured in the 2015 commercial real estate book, Teams Built to Dominate, by Rod Santomassimo. Another interesting fact is that my dad and I went through the same MBA program together, both graduating in 2014. You learn about your dad on a whole new level by participating in group projects and presentations with him! It was a memorable and rewarding experience to share such a significant accomplishment together.
Why does diversity at Cushman & Wakefield matter to you?
Each individual brings unique qualities, experience and perspective to their role. I think it is extremely important to lean in to the diverse talents represented at C&W and to use each person’s capabilities to their highest potential. As a woman, I appreciate seeing successful, women leaders at C&W that I can learn from and use as a model for my own career path.
