Only four industrial submarkets survived round one of Market Madness to move onto round two – Northeast Atlanta vs. I-75 South and I-20 West/Fulton Industrial vs. Airport/South Atlanta. Round two focused on construction completion in the previous four quarters. Northeast Atlanta edged out I-75 South with 5.61 million square feet and 3.85 million square feet, respectively. It was a close one in our second match up, but I-20 West/Fulton Industrial, with 4.27 million square feet, beat Airport/South Atlanta with 2.71 million square feet. That leaves Northeast Atlanta and I-20 West/Fulton Industrial as the last two submarkets standing in the final category – overall weighted net rent. The winner will be announced next week!
