Laurie Harper, Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Asset Services team in Atlanta, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Building Owners and Managers Association’s (BOMA) Georgia chapter. Laurie will serve a two-year term, helping to guide the priorities for the organization. Priorities for 2019 include hosting the 2019 BOMA Southern Region Conference in Savannah, redevelopment of the organization’s engineering training platform (referred to now as Foundations of Building Engineering) and to continue to increase resources for building engineers. She will be installed at the January 16, 2019, luncheon.
The Building Owners and Managers Association of Georgia represents one of the largest industries in the state of Georgia — commercial real estate. BOMA Georgia membership includes building owners, property managers, facility managers, and building engineers. The organization’s mission statement is: “Leading the commercial real estate community to enhance the professionalism and value of our members through education, advocacy, community involvement, membership participation and the open exchange of ideas.”
