The medical office market in Atlanta is poised for another banner year in 2018. In April, 371 East Paces Ferry, Atlanta’s first new medical office building in nearly a decade, is scheduled to open in the heart of Buckhead. We spoke with Dr. Stong of KALOS Surgical Associates to learn more about his background and why he chose to relocate their offices to the property next summer.
Cushman & Wakefield: Could you share some information about your background and experience?
Dr. Stong: Well, I’m dual board-certified in Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and I completed my fellowship under one of the most nationally renowned plastic surgeons, Dr. Andrew Jacono in New York. So I specialize in providing the most advanced techniques in facial plastic surgery and other cosmetic services and am really proud to be providing them right here in Atlanta.
Have you received any recognition for your work?
In 2017 I was named a “Top Doctor” by Castle Connolly for the third year in a row, and 2018 will be the fourth year in a row. It’s very fulfilling to get that sort of recognition. It is an honor that also motivates me to stay at the forefront of facial plastic surgery and continue to offer the most innovative procedures to my patients.
What sort of procedures set you apart from other surgeons?
I am the only surgeon in the area to offer an advanced deep plane facelift. With careful attention to detail, plus of course study and experience, I have taken the already advanced deep plane facelift procedure and improved it by adding my own advanced techniques. It’s the best kind of facelift you can get, and we call it the KalosLift. It can knock 15 years off your look!
It sounds amazing! The Loudermilk Companies is very excited about your relocation to 371 East Paces Ferry. What are your thoughts on that move?
We are thrilled to be moving our offices to 371 East Paces. I know it won’t happen until July, but we can’t wait! One of the reasons we selected it is that the location is considered “walker’s paradise,” easily accessible to the Buckhead Village shops, eateries and services. Plus, there is plenty of on-site parking and an on-site pharmacy! I can’t tell you how important that kind of convenience is! Not to mention that it’s in Buckhead’s “Healthcare Hub.” So it’s perfect.
Above is a photo of your signing your lease. How did it feel?
That single picture actually captures the culmination of my lifetime of education, training, and building my practice! So it was one of the single biggest moments in my life. To say I was excited would be a total understatement.
Is there anything else that you think our readers should know?
Well, this past year I joined the Cosmetic and Reconstructive Support Medical Advisory Council of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), a highly-esteemed honor that is reserved for the most qualified and respected plastic surgeons. So that’s really exciting – talk about a worthy cause!
