As part of the holiday season, Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta office recently celebrated the company’s annual Week of Giving. This year, the firm supported three charities. Employees sponsored gifts for 15 children through the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, a private, non-profit agency that champions the needs of sexually and severely physically abused children through prevention, intervention, therapy, and collaboration. Additionally, the firm filled 20 stockings for children and senior citizens through the Salvation Army which operates 7,685 centers in communities across the United States.
Members of the Women’s Integrated Network (WIN) also collected a variety of goods for the Atlanta Humane Society, including pet care and office supplies as well as gift cards. The Atlanta Humane Society is a no-kill shelter providing 60,000 direct points of care to animals each year through sheltering and adoption, veterinary care, and community outreach.
The Week of Giving was a great way to kick off the holiday season and wrap up a year of philanthropy involving a variety of charitable organizations throughout Atlanta.
