Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta office is proud to announce the firm was named the Gateway Center’s Corporate Volunteer Partner of the Year. Gateway Center works to end homelessness in Metro Atlanta through therapeutic program and community collaboration. The Gateway Center is designed to serve as the “gateway” to the community continuum of care that helps individuals move out of homelessness. The organization provides 369 beds for men who enter into programs geared to address the underlying reasons for their homelessness, such as unemployment, addictions, mental illness or domestic abuse.
Last September, Cushman & Wakefield partnered with the Gateway Center for the firm’s annual Great Day of Service. More than 300 of Cushman & Wakefield’s employees had the opportunity to help transform their new Evolution Center through a series of activities including painting, addition of mural art, landscaping and cleaning, as well as building and moving furniture. Additionally, the company gathered donations for the men including gently used clothing, toiletries, games and books. Great Day of Service is planned by the firm’s Cushman Cares committee, which arranges opportunities to volunteer and give back throughout the year.
