We’ve all witnessed the trend of Atlanta’s office, retail and multifamily sectors migrating toward the central business district for a variety of reasons, from growing transportation options to increasing the walkability score of their surrounding neighborhood.
The industrial sector may not get as much attention in that area, but it has other priorities that are starting to line up very well with an ITP address, and one new development may be leading the way on the industrial side.
“The project, known as Creekside at Langford Distribution Corridor, could be finished by early this fall,” wrote the Atlanta Business Chronicle recently. “It marks an important shift in the way companies are looking at their distribution networks. Amazon offers an example. In 2014, the Seattle retail giant quietly launched a warehouse project near the Atlanta airport, as it ramped up its ‘anticipatory shipping’ services, a concept that could cut delivery time.”
