The talent and potential opportunities in Atlanta’s entertainment industry rival those of major entertainment hubs such as Los Angeles and New York City. From producers and directors to radio and television announcers, Atlanta’s entertainment labor pool has grown more than three times the U.S. average over the last 10 years. This rapid growth means the competition is fierce between employers to find creative ways to attract and retain the highly coveted talent.
While many employers are focused on competitive compensation and enhanced workplace experience as talent attraction and retention tools, select employers are going even further. Large, full service studios are funding “artist communities” near their facilities to attract the brightest talent. These communities are meant to not only drive creativity, but also take the pressure off of housing decisions for new employees.
