Launching the Women’s Integrated Network (WIN) in Singapore

By Sigrid G. Zialcita, Managing Director, Research Asia Pacific

International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. At Cushman & Wakefield Singapore, we celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) with a series of activities to honour the women at our workplace. This is in line with the global theme of #PressForProgress – a call to remain motivated and continue to press forward and progress to action on women’s issues around the world.

The line-up of activities for IWD included a guest speaker on emotional resilience, a hands-on workshop where our employees learnt beneficial tips on enhancing their personal brand image, from Mary Kay Consultants, as well as a Mindfulness Energy workshop that taught participants how to achieve a mindful state to remain calm and relaxed.

Yesterday, we also launched the Women’s Integrated Network (WIN) in Singapore.  The launch of WIN Singapore demonstrates our organisation’s commitment to inspire all, both women and men, in championing gender diversity and supporting the development of talents among our female employees.

WIN was created to provide a platform for our female employees working at Cushman & Wakefield and C&W Services to share information, best practices, education, and experience. The ability to embrace diversity and equality is important in ensuring an inclusive and productive workplace environment.

I am excited that we have an opportunity to be able to encourage diversity and equality at work, through the establishment of WIN Singapore. By being a member of WIN Singapore, our female co-workers in Singapore will now have the opportunity to join the activities planned in line with the goals of the Chapter that will eventually enable them to develop skills and opportunities to further excel in their careers.  Find out more about WIN here.
