By Eric B. Lewis, MAI, FRICS, President, Valuation & Advisory Americas
Almost 26 years to the day of joining Cushman & Wakefield, I was promoted to my current position as President of our Valuation & Advisory group in the Americas. With this increased visibility, I see that the best things about our group are alive and well across the entire firm. Despite my “long” tenure, I’ve only been with Cushman & Wakefield for about a quarter of its 100-year history, and chunk of the life of our nearly 35-year-old V&A platform. We have been in, and have been committed to, the business longer than anyone.
As a complement to that rich tradition, we hear the voices of those who have recently joined our ranks loud and clear, creating the most collaborative, forward-thinking platform in the profession. And that momentum is propelling us forward, maintaining our position as the most innovative valuation and advisory group.
With these ideas in mind, we recently released a social video campaign, V&A Our Stories, that highlights everything that makes our group what it is today – our platform, our business, our clients, and, of course, our people.
People stay with us as long as they do for many reasons, but our collective passion is at the top of the list. Our passion for commercial real estate, our passion for working with the best people in the business, and our passion for serving our clients. It’s no accident then that we have the best clients in the business – the leading lenders, owners, developers, investors, and managers. They are at the cutting edge of commercial real estate, and they keep us sharp.
I first came to Cushman & Wakefield over a quarter-century ago because of the brand. I’ve stayed because of the people and the culture in Valuation & Advisory. I enjoy the challenge this new role brings and look forward to the continued growth of our organization.
