Steam Whistle Brewery recently rewarded our Toronto office’s exceptional company culture by sending their “Good Beer Folks” to set up shop in the conference room on a Thursday afternoon.
Last Halloween, Valuation & Advisory’s (V&A) Patricia Lohmus dressed as a bottle of her favorite brew and had her picture posted to the company’s Instagram page, which was featured in their newsletter.
Patricia spoke with Steam Whistle’s Community Manager who mentioned their Beer O’Clock program, developed as a way to reward companies for a job well done. Patricia answered the question: “What makes your workplace culture awesome?”
“We are very supportive of each other both in work and in life. Our department is very close… it’s like having a second family. It’s the type of environment where everyone enjoys spending time together both inside and outside the office. We also spend a lot of time supporting our community and getting involved. Our department shared in Cushman & Wakefield’s United Way campaign last week, the JDRF Inside Bike Ride, as well as the Ronald McDonald House fundraiser for the Home for Dinner Program. No matter what we are doing and how different the team is, we always manage to have a laugh.”
“It’s events like these that reinforce Patricia’s comments about our department,” said Brian Kriter, who runs V&A’s Canadian operations. “From celebrating corporate successes to personal milestones, our group really is like a family and its part of what makes working at Cushman & Wakefield such fun.”
It’s true what they say…Canadians really do have more fun!
