Thomas Cherry has faced a lifetime of challenges in his 32 years. As a United States Army recruit right out of high school, Thomas worked on one of the most sophisticated air defense systems – the Patriot missile system – in one of the most volatile theaters in the world, South Korea’s border with North Korea. As part of 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Thomas built his skill set while also building lasting relationships.
In 2006 Thomas was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He returned to his hometown of Dallas for treatment but as a young man with a potentially uncertain future he was stunned. It was the support of his Dallas-based family and friends as well as the long-distance comradeship and support of his old unit that helped him successfully face and beat his cancer.
Today Thomas Cherry is again part of a team with an objective – the Cushman & Wakefield Operations group at 2021 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas. Managing office space is a challenge, but one his service career helped prepare him for.
The Cushman & Wakefield Veterans Initiative Program is specifically designed to recruit veterans looking for a post-service career. Our objective is to help ease the transition to civilian life for these hires while building the best client teams in our business.
H. Frank Stanley is the Veteran Recruiting and Program Manager for Cushman & Wakefield’s Veteran Initiative Program. Mr. Stanley (U.S. Army, LTC.) is a 34-year veteran and well suited in the recruitment and retention of former service personnel.
