Why is diversity important in the workplace?

I believe that diversity in the workplace is essential to delivering valuable products to a client. The more culturally diverse a team, the more dimensional their product will be. Including all backgrounds in the workplace allows for more collaborate environments, which eventually create more success overall.

What does it mean to be an ally at work, besides joining UNITY?

Being an ally at work means, to me, having acceptance and tolerance for all people. Being an ally also means stepping into and standing up for co-workers if a situation arises where a member of the LGBTQ community is being targeted at work for their sexuality. An ally to the LGBTQ community holds the responsibility of bridging the gap between those who identity as LGBTQ and those who identify as straight.

How do you celebrate Pride?

This is my first Pride in New York and I am excited to celebrate with my friends!
