By Shawn Mobley, Chief Executive Officer, Americas
Today, Forbes Magazine announced Cushman & Wakefield is one of America’s Top Employers. This is a great honor and positive proof of the work our firm has done in bringing our people together and refocusing our efforts on our clients after our series of mergers in the last three years.
Each year, Forbes conducts an independent, anonymous survey of a vast sample of American employees working for companies with at least 1,000 people. To learn more about how winners are chosen, click here.
The interesting thing about corporate culture is how delicate it is – how it needs constant attention and needs to evolve along with the business. We have put a great deal of thought and resources into ensuring we have a strong set of principles that will endure today and into the future.
We have focused on putting our people and our clients at the top of our priority list and we will continue to focus on adding value for our clients, creating the best culture in our industry. We need to always get better at everything we do, while winning the talent war, and building amazing careers for our employees.
A critical component of those principles is building and maintaining a diverse workforce from leadership to the front-line professionals and at every level in between. We’ve made great progress. In 2017, nearly 50% of new hires were women.
We have seen growing support for our Women’s Integrated Network; for UNITY, our LGBTQ+ network; for Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders group; and our Veterans Initiative Program. All these groups are more active, with more members than ever before.
Amazing things are happening at Cushman & Wakefield, and it’s all because of our amazing people. Many of their amazing stories can be found here. We are thrilled that Forbes has publicly recognized the firm as one of America’s Top Employers.
